Why Twin Cities Homeowners Choose Northern Exteriors
Northern Exteriors has served Twin Cities homeowners since 2001. You work directly with owner Jason Berrey and an experienced team — not a revolving door of salespeople. Our roofing and siding crews are long-standing professionals who have worked with us for years, and every project is monitored from the initial scope through completion for safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
Real Cottage Grove Siding Transformation
A strong siding update can completely change the look of a Minnesota home. This Cottage Grove project shows how darker siding, clean trim contrast, and a refreshed exterior can give the same home a sharper, more finished look. See what a replacement involves, the products we install and more Cottage Grove project photos on our Cottage Grove siding contractor page. On the Woodbury side of the east metro, our Woodbury siding page covers LP SmartSide, vinyl and steel options — plus the permit and inspection steps Woodbury requires.

Hail Damage? Start With an Exterior Inspection.
Severe hail can affect roofing, siding, gutters, vents, flashing, and other exterior components — sometimes without obvious signs from the ground. Northern Exteriors provides free hail inspections and insurance claim help: we photograph and measure the damage, prepare the estimate and construction scope, and meet your adjuster on-site to walk the roof. We have done this for Twin Cities homeowners since 2001. We are a contractor, not a public adjuster, so your insurer and policy determine coverage. Learn more about our hail damage roof inspections and insurance claim help. You can also review what a free roof inspection in the Twin Cities covers. Roof leaking now? We take emergency roof repair calls seven days a week when crews are available.

“Northern Exteriors is amazing. One of the best contractors I have ever worked with! The house looks great and the neighbors when they drive or walk past have all commented on how good it looks. You can’t go wrong with them!”

A Note from Jason Berrey, Owner
I started this company in 2001 because I wanted to do this work the right way. Before Northern Exteriors, I worked for a larger remodeling company and saw firsthand what happens when a contractor gets too big, too fast — quality suffers, communication breaks down, and homeowners get left holding the bag.
So I started small and I’ve stayed intentional. Every project gets my personal attention. Every crew I work with has earned my trust over years, not days. When hail hits your neighborhood or it’s time to replace that roof that’s been leaking since the last storm, I want you to feel confident you’re calling someone who will be straight with you about what you need — and what you don’t.
We’re not a storm-chasing sales operation that shows up after a hailstorm and disappears when the work dries up. We’re the company your neighbor used in 2018 and called again in 2023. That’s the business I’ve spent 25 years building. Have questions? Contact Northern Exteriors and talk directly with Jason.
